Week 1 - Every College Students' Savior

Remember that time you failed that quiz because you drank too much the night before and came to class hungover? Or that time you called your ex-boyfriend and begged him to take you back? Or when you texted your mom saying you needed more condoms? Partying is fun, but the next day when you see the texts you sent, notice the phone calls you made, and that pounding in your head with every step you take, don't you wish you had someone to tell you what to do next or a way to get rid of your hangover within just minutes? Well now you do, Mom's Hangover Helper is here for you!

Mom's Hangover Helper is your second mother when things get out of control. This is your source for everything you need to know to recover from anything you did last night, including those things you can't remember. From drunk calls to hangovers to the dead hooker in the bathroom, you ask the question and we supply the answer. Nothing can be to extreme for Mom to handle.

Here's how it works: e-mail Mom at momshangoverhelper@gmail.com with your question. Within 24 hours of sending your e-mail, Mom will reply with an answer to your dilemma. With your permission, Mom will then anonymously post your question, hiding all details that may give away your identity, and her solution for others to see in case they find themselves in the same situation. Before sending Mom an e-mail, search the Mom's Hangover Helper database to see if your question has already been answered. Here's to the good nights you may or may not remember!

  1. Great idea - i love the twitter account of @MommaWontTell which i think is a picture of the woman from Arrested Development. (great show fyi). So what is the long term plan for the business? I think that it is something the party hard yet want to be academicly responsible students would love but i could see one person becoming pretty overwhelmed with the influx of emails. One way that you could promote this system is look for misspelled tweets on Friday/Saturday nights or heck any day of the week and from there you could start interact with your target audience. You could probably also look for trends on social media that would point to people using it while intoxicated and it is a great way to pretty much have your audience come directly to you.

  2. I think this website could be very helpful at times, and also very entertaining. One could possibly pass a great deal of time looking at all the questions posted on the website, and also the twitter account. The name is clever and it's a great idea for those who can't actually ask mommy for help.

  3. This is a good idea especially for college students. Everyone has had those nights where they drink too much and end up doing something they regret or struggling the next morning to function. This would be like a ask.com website mixed with a type of blogger or facebook, where you can get your questions answered and be able comment and chat with other people on the site about your experiences. This can not only help you out with any dilemma you might have but allow for people to come together under humorous circumstances.

  4. This is hilarious and I love it. You did a great job integrating social media. I really like the twitter account. I think you could also go further with the social media by not only answering people's emails but writing articles about common college student problems, like getting sick, balancing class with social life, etc. If you researched enough, you could even cater to specific school's and the unique problems their student body has.

  5. This is a great idea that would definitely save some students' relationships with their parents. I would personally use this if my mother had a cell phone. The crazy stories are meant to be shared with people that will not judge, but with people that will listen. This could also become a comedy help website that could be like the anonymous "texts from last night" site. Except people could also comment and say what they would do and have different students opinions from around the country.
